Weapon Design Contest is Back!

Ron Yatco

As you may or may not remember, for the original Army of Two the EA Montreal team called on the community and all others to help design weapons that they would add to the game.  The response to the Weapon Design Contest was overwhelming and as a result Army of Two had two awesome weapons designed by folks just like you!  We're happy to announce that for Army of Two: The 40th Day, EA Montreal is bringing the Weapon Design Contest back and making it even bigger and better!  Once again we're calling on all gamers, artists, designers, weapons enthusiasts and more to create original weapon designs for the chance to have them as actual weapons in Army of Two: The 40th Day!  This year the contest is open to residents of North America, Italy, France, and the UK!  So make sure to get your creative juices flowing and submit your designs!  Check out the official release and rules below.

Today, EA Montreal announced the return of the weapon design contest for ARMY OF TWO: THE 40th DAY. From June 23, 2009 to July 12 2009, participants can submit their ultimate weapon at the game's official website (http://www.armyoftwo.com) for a chance to have it included in a future EA game.

To enter the contest, gamers will need to submit an image of their weapon and a brief 200-word description. Please click on the game's official website to view the contest rules (http://www.armyoftwo.com/weapondesigner/rules). Once gamers submit their designs, the images will be posted to the site for the community to vote on. Starting on July 20, 2009 the top weapons will be reviewed by the development team who will then pick the two best designs.

More about ARMY OF TWO: THE 40TH DAY - The ultimate two-man private military team of Salem and Rios return in ARMY OF TWO: THE 40th DAY, where they must fight to survive a carefully orchestrated series of catastrophes that are dragging the city of Shanghai to the brink of disaster. The game has been built from the ground up with a focus on an incredible cooperative experience. A bigger playbook of features and a new arsenal of co-op moves are available to both players to perform at any time, opening up fresh strategies and choices. The result is a bigger, deeper, more organic and immersive co-op experience that lets players put their best two-man tactics to use whenever and wherever they want.
